I'm not sure what happened, but Rex Grossman threw a couple of interceptions where it appeared as if he paniced... and just threw the ball up for grabs.
One of those was a pass to the left sideline. The Bears were only down by five points, and they were near midfield. Grossman rolled to his left, and had a clear field ahead of him. I think he could easily have run for a first down. Instead, he threw an interception.
Grossman lacks the experience of Manning, Brady, Brees, etc.
This was the first season he was faced with some really big games.
He is fine if the Bears jump out to a big lead. But he has troubles when his team is behind.
I have nothing against Rex Grossman, but I think the Bears will try to find a better quarterback during the off season.

Grossman was the most irregular quarterback I have seen in a while. When he was good, his quarterback rating was instanely high but the last game of the regular season against the Packers showed his lowest of lows. Three interceptions, only two completed passes, quarterback rating of 0.0 for one half of work. He forced the Bears to rely too much on their defense and Devin Hester returning kicks. Yes, the weather was terrible but Grossman didn't play anywhere near the level a Superbowl quarterback should play.

He was sub-par for the entire 2nd half of the season. He was never really that good and last Sunday just proved everyone right. The conditions are no excuse. Indy played in those same conditions and they are a dome team. This should have played right into Chicago's hands, but Grossman showed his true colors.

Grossman was not totally to blame. The Bears defense did not exactly light it up in the game. The Colts seemed to have their way on offense and Indys defense really started playing good during the playoffs. I don't think there was a team in the NFC that would've beat the Colts so Rex deserves a break. He did lead them to a great record and a spot in the Super Bowl.
