I zoomed in on my former house and it looked like it did 3 or 4 years ago.

They definitely need to update. The house I am living in right now doesnt even exist on it and the house I used to live in is blocked by a cloud when you zoom all of the way in.

Google makes a disclaimer that they use available aerials. aerials come from different sources so are updated at different times. my house picture was 2 years old, then it was updated shortly after the county property appraiser posted the new 2006 aerials. also, there is the security issue... try zooming in on Bagdad or Iran and you will be lucky if anything even comes up. So I think some areas get fast updates and others are deliberately held back.

not so much im afraid. theyre still mappnig the globe. until theyve finished theyre not likely to update the photo's already taken.
