I guess they feel like they dont have the equal amount of rights as others have. Its all they think about. I have a gay sister, and its all she talks about.*

I agree with you , i have always said it , the gay- lesbian community has tried very much to put themselves in the shoes of the blacks , and is a shame, they are what they are by CHOICE, the blacks were slaves and suffered discrimination ,horrible not by their choice! And the blacks had to struggle for their rights ,wchich are justified! not so the gay community that wants to shove their very sick life style on our childrens ! Black history is black history that is part of the curriculum , but teaching homosexuality to children at elementary or any school level is very sick, one has nada to do with another! The gay community hides behind the civil rights movement to achieve their horrible style imposing themselves on our most vulnerable, our hildren! Write your representative and other goverment members as I have , then again it is in the goverment itself where the old men hide , and make the laws to please themselves , usually this abuse is on very youn boys , pages , etc, and once it comes to the surface , it is toned down by the media. Good wishes. Hugs.

To categorize what they are going through, is like saying they are being treated like the blacks were treated. But, it seems the blacks have been treated far worse then the gays, I mean you could hide being gay but I don't think you could hide being black. I'm not saying they are not being treated badly, but they can't just say it's a little of this, they go to extremes about how bad they have been treated, that is why they consider how bad the blacks have been treated. I hope I makes sense.

we are just trying to find the closest parallel, i admit that it is a bit unfair, but gay people are the only people left in the world that it is considered OK to hate. If there was a better comparison that could be used that would serve our purposes without offending anyone we would, of course, much rather use that! unfortunately, we cannot come up with one.

My best friend is a lesbian... she doesn't really share it with many people... you know flaunt it like most. But do you wanna know what really ticks me off. Like the super bowl commercial. Ok, did you see that. They had to take that commercial off the air because those guys ripped their chest hair out to prove they were men because they accidently kissed while eating the snickers bar... well, maybe thats because they weren't gay!!! duh! I mean, maybe if gay and lesbian people didn't make such a HUGE deal out of everything they wouldn't be so pointed out! Ya know! Like you are saying. They are the ones bringing up their struggle... well DON'T bring it up... just get over it and move on with your life.. everyone has struggles in life.. yours isn't any different than anyones elses. They are really being to melodramatic!!!

i can not pretend to understand what the black man have endured but gays feel they are encountering hate much like you but honestly it's not much of a comparison. i openly support the black man struggle. the world owe civilization to the black man, if the ignorant people that read this doubt it try studying your own American history.

They do it to bolster their argument, to try and get sympathy from the general population.
They also cooked up this "10%" BS, which can in no way be substantiated.
All of this is done to try give their argument some weight, which it is missing.

both are repressed - blacks, as of now, has more freedom than homesexuals so yeah, they should compare the two minority groups --- but blacks aren't really minorties anymore.
