mine was pretty much instant... a couple of seconds. (i watched the "result window" soak up my urine and a faint positive line appeared right then) but the instructions say to wait 5 minutes before you read your results. and, since i didn't really want to be pregnant right now, i walked away for 5 minutes... hoping the positive line would disappear. it didn't. I'm happy now, though!

Sometimes it can take the whole time to develop as w/ a faint positive.
Later on (like a being at least a week late for my period), the test usually turns pos as soon as the urine passes that part of the test strip.

When I took my test, it was instant. I'd taken many before and never saw the positive - I even took apart the stick to see if it was there just really faint....
The positive test had the second stripe as soon as the pee hit that part of the paper. It was amazing to see after so many negatives.

The test tell you to wait at least 5 min to read the test...but you can stand there and see the postive starting just a few seconds after the tests starts.
