I get annoyed by all the people that criticize and see all the bad qualities of South Africa!

South Africa is definitely not the only country that gets criticized for all their bad qualities, while their good qualities are overlooked. All countries have this. It is one of the causes of many of the wars and other problems in the world. We create national identities, and in order to protect the esteem of that identity, we attack other people's identities. If it isn't nationalism, it is religion. If it isn't religion, it is race. If it isn't race, it is economic status. Mankind groups itself into meaningless cliques, and then they insult each other over it. It is kind of stupid.
That said, you cannot deny the bad things, either. Whether it is now or not, you have to face the fact that South Africa has a dark history. America and Britain and just about every other country in the world has to face this fact, too. Racism, apatheid, slavery, genocide, intolerance and other bad factors are a part of human history (not just South Africa). These things must be recognized and dealt with. What would help destroy these things would be for all of us to be a little less proud of what country we are from, and to be a little more proud of being human beings in general, sharing the entire planet. I'm an American, and proud of it. But I would be even more proud if we learned to get along with everyone else. I'm more proud to be an Earthling than to be an American.

yes i do get angry even though I'm not from south Africa. those who criticize other countries for violence or for whatever reason should look in the mirror for a second. THE PROBLEMS WITHIN!
