Everywhere you look the world is filled with stupid people, I know you've noticed them when you were driving, you've seen them in line at stores. And I know you've seen a lot of stupid answers on this site.
Why? And more importantly what can we do about it?

The reason that there are so many stupid people in the world is because modern society has eliminated the evolution of humans.
Survival of the fittest does not apply to human society.
Medicine, welfare, social programs, food stamps, etc. allows even the dumbest,laziest, uncivilized,disease ridden, people to survive and reproduce.
The sad part is that the lowest,dumbest,savages are reproducing more than the rest.

The world must be filled with the positive & the negative. Sad & Happy. Plus & minus. etc. It's gotta be balanced. If everyone was to be so smart, then it's another boring story. If people are always happy with what they are, we wouldn't know the feelings of excitement when cheered up

first of all, there is no real definition for "stupid". nobody can say what "stupid" really means. some people are stupid when they are driving, some people are stupid because they cant solve an easy math quiz, some people are stupid because they cheat on their wife and family and **** up their entire life...the list goes on and on. everybody alive has something "stupid" bout themselves. i'm damn sure that you are also "stupid" sometimes.
so stop wasting your time with a question like this and enjoy your life.

Im not sure what we can do, unless the educational system improves. I know exactly what youre sayin, I see them everyday, myself. Its mind boggling, how bad it really is. Makes ya wonder if they listened at school, or if they even went. Plus, their upbringing has alot to do with it too. If they werent taught any basics at home, while growing up, then stupidity comes as a result of that too.*

There are stupid people because everything in life has to be balanced. Without stupid people there would be no smart people. Without ugly people there would be no beautiful people, etc. We label people and ourselves not by objectifying them, but by SUBJECTIFYING them.
example: When I'm with a skinny friend, I feel fat. When I'm with an overweight friend, I feel skinny.
We measure ourselves by comparing with others. In order to be superior, we need an inferior and vice-versa.
So, in other words, stupid people serve their purpose.

My feelings on this are people are just plain rude. They do not care about anything but their own self. I find asian americans to be the worse. They do not know how to drive and want to be secluded from us. They do not move out of their own way. Other people just don't care. I think everyone thinks they are the only people alive.

By your question I'm assuming you are the stupidity compass by which we are to measure it. If your question was the one by which we were to compare all others then I would have to say everyone else on here today are brain surgeons.

Humans are naturally very intelligent...but, most people choose not to educate themselves... and not open their minds beyond what they believe. LOL! Many people choose to be followers instead of leaders...so therefore we encounter people who do not think for themselves on a daily basis...

I haven't noticed alot of stupid people. I have noticed angry drivers (what happened at home that morning?) and angry customers (why is your life making you so angry?) I think I have noticed more angry, irritable, unhappy people than stupid people.
