A solid bond in your heart was originally wrote when Paul Weller was still in The Jam. There is a version on their box set. He re-recorded it when he formed the style council.
Favourite Style Council song for me would be out of Long hot summer or money go round.

Not a big fan, but I really liked "Walls Come Tumbling Down" also enjoyed "Promised Land", but that was not an original, but a cover of a great dance classic.
