to be honest with u i am a bisexual woman and i honestly don't think it will cath on both with gay and lesbian marriages cuase most people don't want to accept the fact it what it is there becoming the majority of the population but our society has created so many racial issues that a lot of things are labeled as wrong imoral,or down right perverse. now adays what is normal iknow it's not something i want to become or my children to become i am sorry i feel everyone has a right to be happy as long it does not truely hurt anyone else in my opinion more gay and lesbian couple would get married it they felt safe enough to do so and if they though it would be benefical to do so i feel the numbers would be higher if we didn't make such a big deal about their right to be happy and marry

I agree. For all the fuss the fundies are making about the social and economic impact of gay marriage, only 10% of the population is supposedly gay, at least half of them are probably in the closet, and only a portion of the rest are in committed relationships, and only a fraction of them want to be formally married. Probably more women want to be married than men, but the result is the same: important to those who want it, but not to 98% or more of the total population.
It's not a matter of "catching on", though, it's a matter of individual choice. "Catching on" is the fear of the fundies, apparently, that if gay marriage wasn't forbidden, hundreds of thousands of straight people will suddenly "choose" to be gay just for the chance to marry someone of the same sex!

Well, given that 7 Countries now have gay marriage and 5 more are looking to make it legal, I suspect it's catching on somewhere. As for the U.S., probably not for awhile, at least not until social conservatives realize the constitutional idea of equality isn't just for straight people.
Oh yes, and for the record, here in Canada we have recorded more than 13,000 marriages so far, not just a drop in the bucket wouldn't you say.

There are none without sin, no longer even one. bypass and contemplate the time you're taking to demonise human beings via utilising any scripture you are able to. The bible additionally says to stone adulterers, among many different reasons. attempt and spend a while extra fruitfully - consistent with probability you may follow in Jesus's footsteps and make the effort to take into consideration, in the previous your castigation of others - enable he who's without sin solid the 1st stone. it rather is a sin to stay with fake prophets, and you place your self up as merely that - a faux prophet.

I believe that 6500 is not an insignificant number because that was at the last count how many Gays and Lesbians have married in MA.
The numbers of those who would partake of it doesn't have anything to do with whether or not it should be offered.

Of course it will catch on.
Look at all the African-Americans that enrolled in colleges and schools once we had Brown vs. Board of Education and desegregation.
The same thing will happen when this type of blatant discrimination ends as well.

even if the number is really small, the marriage institution is not a business! no one is gonna loose something if a small proportion of gays married! that has nothin to do with whether or not to allow it...

It was not necessary for you to add after the fact that you are 100% straight. That was quite apparent by your question alone.
Gay marriages "catching on"....hmmm....you mean like mood rings or hula hoops?

Look to the investment that some of the respondents in this category have made in their relationships.
Then consider withdrawing this question.
