Ok well I am well qualified to answer this as I am a First Choice travel agent!! The answer is not much - they will try and suck you in by telling you that your wages will be heavily supplemented by the massive incentives you will earn. Yeah right. I am an Assistant Manager and my basic wage is £12000 per year. In a brilliant month, my maximum take-home has never been more than £900. If you have no experience you are likely to start at not much more than minimum wage and your incentives won't be great either. I work in travel because I love the job, certainly not because I love First Choice, or the wages that they pay me. If you are interested in travel, go for it. As a career move - its not the smartest one you'll ever make.

Most tour companies are not renouned for their generous wages. Likely a sales agent will be mainly a commission based package.
