There is a long pipe from ceiling to floor in my bathroom and a steam valve is located at the top my husband hit it with a hammer to change it and the end broke off. Help!!!!

I would suggest replacing the valve instead of easyout. It is not so easy and if you aren't used to working with pipe......replacement will save you a lot of time.

Assuming this is a Water Valve type, Unscrew the stem hold down nut, remove the Valve stem and replace it with a new one.

You talking at the "Shower Head"? If, you can not get a Wrench on it you will need a large EZ Out that fit the pipe.
