I am having a package delivered via the post office, and my online tracking says "Your item was undeliverable as addressed at 10:07 AM on February 8, 2007. It is being returned if appropriate information is available". What does this mean? I live in a townhose with it's own address, but our mail gets delivered to one of those mail boxes that has a slot for each apartment (kind of like a PO box, but we use our apartment number as our address) I have had oversized mail delivered to my doorstep before via the USPS. Are they going to ship it back on me??

Your Letter Carrier will attempt to deliver your parcel to you and if that is not possible he/she will leave you a notice that the parcel is being held at the PO. Apparently there was something wrong with the address as written. UAA is a general term that covers several reasons for non-delivery. You will be able to tell more when the parcel returns to you, although it may be as simple as not having a suite number.

It usually means the shipper didn't put the address on the package correctly or clearly and the post office can't figure it out.

I've had this happen with a perfectly addressed package. It ended up being delivered, but it took weeks.

Usually, it means that the address on the package does not exactly match your address. It happend to me once and that was because the sender had an old address for me.
