there must be something that they wouldn't of been able to put right, especially with that wooden cuckoo called Professor yaffle...also why couldn't they fix it .. its no good just saying something random........and how exactly did emily love him ....

Bagpuss can put anything right ... he just has to think. The mice are mortal (as the Biscuit Mill proves) and Professor Yaffle was just a wooden bookend.
