I have Giant spyware anti-virus on my desk top pc and every time it does a scan one it tells me i may be the victum of possible browser highjacking,what can i do? Two how can i get rid of unwanted cookies on my pc?

Use a program called "CCleaner" to get rid of cookies and other junk files that accumulate on your computers hard-drive over time. It's a very good program. It's free too. :)

Depends on your browswer. But since they are mostly the same in terms on tools.

I'll tell you how to do it following Mozilla.

Go to tools
Then Options
Click Cookies (second from the last)
then on the bottom Right click "Clear Cookies"
You can also uncheck "Allow sites to set cookies" if you don't have anymore of them but that usually hinders the use of some sites.

If you aren't using Mozilla, look into it. Way safer then IE. If you don't like Mozilla because maybe some sites don't allow you to see it then AOL Explorer or Avant Browser would and still better than IE.

Open the browser.
Select Tools -> Internet Options from the main menu.
Select Delete Cookies button.

Try downloading and running CWshredder for the possible browser hijack:

You can delete your cookies by going to Tools>Internet Options> Delete Cookies
