I feel drug c is the safest of all.Becos its window is the largest ie the range between the Ed50 and Ld50 is 120 times which means that the drug becomes toxic or lethal only when its concentration in blood becomes 120 times of the effective dose.

I'm not exactly an expert in pharmaceticals...but I have taken a class the dealt with medicinal chemistry. The LD50 is the dosage that is lethal to 50% of the population. The ED50 is the dosage that is effective for 50% of the population. I believe that the margin of safety would have to be the difference between the ED50 and LD50. Therefor I would have to say the answer is C. The effective dose for half is 2mg...but the lethal dose is 240mg. That is a large margin, which would make it very hard to overdose. Drug A on the other hand, has a very small margin. If the ED50 is 60mg, but the dosage that works for me might be a bit higher...say 100. It could be very likely that I could overdose (forgot I took a pill and doubled up by accident). Drug B appears to have a good margin as well, but I believe drug C is the best
