No. The UK didn't sign up to the full Schengen agreement which means that it has its own common border control and visa provisions. Therefore, unlike in mainland Europe (where they did sign) you need a passport to leave and enter the country.

You still need a passport to travel to Europe from England. The Europeans all have national ID cards, so they can use these but UK citizens need a passport.

flow to Walgreens and get a passport photo for like $15. Then flow to the submit workplace. they have the workplace artwork and may also help you fill it out. if you're leaving from a U.S. city and travelling to the carribean by technique of deliver, you will get a passcard. they're a lot less extreme priced. (verify different innovations for with the flexibility to get the "card" instead) the purely downfall is in case you intend on flying distant places later in say a three hundred and sixty 5 days, or 2, or 5, then you genuinely prefer to have the entire passport. wish this helps

You will need it but chances are you will not have to show it unless you are flying. Or you have the misfortune to have to travel through Slovenia. Where you will be glad to hear little fascists in stupid Commie uniforms are alive and well
