tom, great question!
It is truly sad(and scary) when more Americans don't know about this. Yep, Bush signed the agreement in 2005. It scares the hell out of me! Sorry, but I can not put your worries to rest.
This is what is wrong with the American public. They put all their trust in those they elect to office without keeping a close eye on them.
Have you watched the movie 'V for Vendetta'??? You should! I wish there was a real' V' here, right now. It actually has to do with Britain rather than the U.S.
Anyway, the Union is just another step to the New World Order. I hope you English step up and not allow that to happen there. Too bad not enough citizens here give a cr@p what is happening here. I can just see them asking what and when all this happened, when it is way too late to do anything about it.

I've heard of it and I think it is a bad idea. (Yes, I'm an American.)
El Presidente Bush is just interested in ensuring a continued supply of cheap, exploitable labor so that businesses can further a neo-slave economy. His insistence that we creat "guest worker" programs for illegals is evidence enough. Bush has never cared about Americans, so it's no surprise he's selling us out now.
And any American who thinks this is no different from the EU obviously doesn't know much about the EU or Bush's proposal.

What are you worried about? That the US will be seen in a positive light for helping our less fortunate neighbors? Don't worry, the world will still find a reason to hate us like they have been able to do even though we gave more to tsunami victims and we always help out more than any other country.

I thought moving closer to one big happy world government where stupid mean things like rednecks are illegal was a good thing for you guys? And do you really think we need Mexico or Canada to do anything? I think your just upset because rednecks in America are more useful than yorkshiremen.

No need to worry. In the USA, we are too individualistic to care about helping our neighbors become economically successful as we are. We only care if there is something in it for us. Gotta love capitalism....He who has the most gold/wealth makes the rules!
