i know alot about bringin up a baby but dont know much about pregnancy and birth i am 19. I want to know as much as possible about childbirth

please don't take this the wrong way but You don't need a baby at nineteen there is so much you haven't done yet and you have no idea until your a mother what it takes.I have a six year old and a four month old and let me tell you it aint no bed of roses.I love my kids but you have absolutly no breaks its everyday all day and every night for 7 days a week.You can't just put them off on a babysitter because you want to go party.You can't have much of a life that doesn't involve,bottles,diapers,spit up,crying,stomach aches,ect.....You have to be financially stable because thats only fair to the child.You have to be married or in a relationship where you know you will marry and stay together forever because blended families is so hard we do it and it sucks most of the time.You need to have a nice home for the child live stable in one place not be moving around from rental house to rental house.I know this isn't what you wanted to know but I hate to see someone have a baby so young when you have so much time to do that and live your life right now like young people should and that doesn't include settling down and having kids at this age.....I am sorry if this offends you but I just want you to really think about what it takes to be a mother then if you decide you can do it.Don't fail

Sorry but if you dont know anything about babys & pregnancy then you don't need to be having a baby. You're only 19 so in case no ones told you a baby doesn't go to sleep when you want it to, it doesn't give you a break, and a baby is very hard work.
My suggestion to you would be to wait a few years and then start thinking about it again.

The pregnancy and childbirth parts are the easy ones. I would be more concerned with the bringing them up part - that part is FOREVER....and it can be hard to do especially if you're so young.
A good source of information would be your gyno - they can give you literature to read about the whole process and make sure you are healty before you begin.

watch baby stories on tlc. at 19 i wouldn't worry about having a baby yet. i was 18 with my first child and 21 with my second. And i still feel that it was too young wait till you are older and have finished college have house of your own and can financially support it. labor is very painful it will probaly be the worst pain u every feel.

If I were you I'd wait. I am "an older mom". Had my first at 32. It was the BEST thing. I got my silliness out of the way and now I cherish EVERY moment and am not "bothered" by what happens with my son. =)

no matter how much schooling you take or info you get there is nothing that can truly prepare you for a child, if you are financially set and are married then you will have a better chance, but don't have a child if you don't have one or the other.

www.epregnancy.com and www.pregnancyandbaby.com both have lots of resources for people trying to conceive, or just thinking of conceiving. I check out the forums pretty frequently. Having the advice of other women who have BDTD is wonderful.

You are only young and have loads more to experience in life plus you have years yet to have children. Go out and enjoy yourself first.x
