Somewhere sunny, whith some nice beaches, and where I don't need to book too much in advance.

Cancun is always nice. If you're looking for something a little less laid back (away from all the Spring Break crowd) then Playa del Carmen or Puerto Aventuras (both South of Cancun) are very nice places to vacation. Playa del Carmen attracts more of a European crowd, so if you go be prepared for topless and/or nude sun bathing. Nices beaches, good people, great food and clubs, etc. Lots more inexpensive than Cancun.

Try the Gulf Coast, up in the panhandle of Florida...much more low-key than Daytona, Ft. Lauderdale, etc., and a lot less crowded too. To get info on the area, googling "Fort Walton Beach, FL" is a good place to start.

Key West would probably be anothe possibility...I really can't give you any concrete recommendations, because I'm one of those people who motto is "When vacationing in Florida, ya can't go wrong with Disney World." Aw, man, now I want to go (sob!!)

Oh, another way to get info on the Panhandle is to google the phrase "Redneck Riviera," which is a popular nickname for that whole area.

Good luck, and good vacationing.....
