my husband and i just started trying last month. i was definitly disapointed when i started my period, especially when it seems like some people get pregnant without really trying. i have never taken any kind of birth control pill or shot or anything like that and my doc. told me it could take a year. so i guess they say a year for everyone. im definitly hoping it wont take a year.

It take a lot longer than 2 months to fall pregnant, It can take up to 2 years+ but this varies some women fall pregnant within 2 -6 months. Try giving this a try - Get a thermometer and take your temperature for a few days and when you notice you body temperature rises by 1oC this is when you are ovulating and hopefully you fall pregnant this year.
This method is a lot cheaper than the ovulating kits you buy in the shop and some doctor do recommend this to people trying to conceive. Good Luck

keep at it darling. ive been trying for 2 years and i havent been blessed with a baby yet. 2 months, as other people have been saying, really is not a long enough time to start worrying about. there are loads of websites to give you advice but believe me after a while it can (and does) start to do your head in with all the contradicting information and the massive build up of hope once every month!! relax, and it will happen for you. take care x

Congrats! Call your dr and set up an appointment! Quit smoking, drinking, and eating anything with artificial sweeteners. SLEEP if you are tired! Stay away from fumes, and quite changing a cat's litter box if you have a cat. Pick up the book "What To Expect When You Are Expecting" - it is awesome! Keep reading up on the internet. Check out www.pregnancy.org. Treasure EVERY pregnancy moment!

Keep trying! It took me 4 months, it can take a lot longer! Clearblue do a home ovulation test which is supposed to tell you the best time of the month to conceive, you could give that a go. Good luck.

It took me 7 months, you are very lucky! I'm due in April.

Suggestions - start taking Folic Acid and / or iron pills, keep relaxed, avoid stress, make sure you sleep 8 hours and if you get morning sickness, a biscuit such as a digestive can help stabilise your stomach.

Congratulations and good luck!!

Wow, only 2 months!!

They say it can take up to a year for the average person to get pregnant!

It depends on your age, diet, lifestyle etc...if you are as healthy as you can be, then just relax..2 months is no time at all!

it took me a year to finally fall pregnant, i went to the doctor because i thought something was wrong with me as i fell pregnant with my first while i was on the pill, my doctor told me not to try to hard, if you don't think about it, it will eventually happen. Start taking folic acid now. good luck, hope you fall pregnant soon

I would try for a little longer like others have said it can take up to a year don't get to frustrated about it as this can have affects on it too. If you have been on birth control you have to take this into consideration also it can take up to a year after taking birth control for you to be able to conceive.

You need to start charting your cycle to find the time that you ovulate. You really only have a 65% chance of conceiving in the first few months. Find your time of ovulation and work with that. Tehre are many online (free) sites to try. www.mymonthlycycles.com or baby2see.com
