Smith, whose final months were marked heavily by tragedy and controversy, was pronounced dead at 2:49 p.m. local time, after being found collapsed by a private nurse at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.
Authorities did not announce a cause of death, which proved just as sudden and shocking as the death of Smith's own son five months earlier. An autopsy was scheduled for Friday.
It was believed Smith's infant daughter did not travel with her mother to Florida and instead remained in the Bahamas, where Smith largely had been living since becoming pregnant last year.
Dannielynn Hope, born Sept. 7, turned five months old on Wednesday.

They found her dead yesterday. They are running an autopsy!!! This is sad she never got over losing Daniel!!!This is terrible she is leaving that little baby. What is going to happen to the baby? My prayers are with the family & friends!!!!!

yes me too was surprised! i just saw her last december grieving still from her son death. it says thursday, yesterday her nurse found her unconscious in her hotel room. although her bodyguard performed cpr on her, she was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital. cause of death is not yet known, some people who know her well think its drugs overdose, or too much drugs in her system. autopsy to find out cause of death is yet to be conducted.

It happened Thursday afternoon. A drug overdose is suspected, but it is not known for sure. The autopsy is today, hopefully we will know more after that.
