As well as having no melanin in your palms,not many people walk around with their palms facing upwards to achieve a tan in that area lol

because your tan only goes 3 layers below your first layer of skin. If you did get a tan the layers of skin would be quickly removed from all the washing.

I've never tried. Probably has something to do with the skin on your hands being a little thicker than anywhere else on your body. They do get used quite allot.

there is no melanin in the palms of your hands or on the soles of your feet. ergo, no tan there.
