Good point. A statue is not considered art unless it's a nude, and preferably female. Basically it just shows the city fathers (those who allocate the funds for these statue) are closet perverts.
As for running around in the nude, might be a little cold. If the weather is warm you might get a bad sunburn and eventually cancer. So better to keep covered.

It's what the naked statues CAN'T do that seperates what we CAN do if able to scurry about in that kind of situation !
They're frozen in time and unable to move.
If we had that kind of freedom -just imagine all the traffic accidents that would occur as a result...just for starters !!! LOL!!
