Region 2 is basically Europe and Japan. From Wikipedia:

In DVD's there are 3 types of regions:
Region 1- USA and Canada
Region 2- Nearly the rest of the world
Region free- this work in any region.
I know how it sucks when you have a DVD from a different region. Try and use a computer with a program that is region free. Otherwise there is a program of changing the region of the DVD
