Not so much for his Cricket, but his prominence as a Rouge has led Strawberry Blondes everywhere to hold their heads high!!

no because even thogh he is in his best form he will not average above 30 in the next ten odi to come.
he only ever is a 'bat a bit, bowl a bit',type of player.he is not world class nor does he rank as a top player in world cricket.Sure he has the basic abilities, which allow him to score a big score once in a while.
to be knighted he has to be a top player.to be a top player he has to be able to play every type of game in every type of situation.
Inzamam,Ponting etc can play slow, fast ,chase a total, and cruically can adjust the type of shot they are play halfway through their stroke if the ball deviates unexpectedly.
They can also play the ball on its merit and hardly play premeditaded strokes. For collingwood to score at more than 70% strike rate he has to premeditate an aggressive risky stroke. And he also has a selection of 3/4 strokes which he can play.
Sorry for rant, but this sums up the reason why english players in every sport are not very good.I mean have u seen Zinedeen Zidan[footballer] take his penalty kick, after taking 3/4 strides towards the ball, throwing up,wiping his mouth, all in one motion, and then scoring the goal.Because he had class and knew of his abilities. Can seriously think of an English footballer who really believes in their abilities like this.

no - he's had two good matches, he started the test series off well, but then completely lost form for the last four tests and also most of this one day series, done well though
