Not true, he did share his bed with a man occasionally but that behavior was commonplace in his time. Anyone who said that is making an observation about society now and placing it in Lincoln's time period, the observation does not hold up.

Yeah, that was a great song by the Historians. Unfortunately, their only song. Truly sad. Hey, what a coincidence. I heard President Lincoln was dead. Still is, too.

There was some "historian" trying to make a case, because Lincoln shared a bed with a man in his youth.

Frontier living was hard. A bed and a roof over your head were luxuries, as was heat in the winter. I'm sure people "doubled up."

Some people have sex on the brain constantly. But I'm sure it got the author some publicity.

I wouldn't put any stock in it.

From what I heard Lincoln was a pretty happy guy. Here is the original definition:

1. having or showing a merry, lively mood: gay spirits; gay music.
2. bright or showy: gay colors; gay ornaments.
3. given to or abounding in social or other pleasures: a gay social season.
4. licentious; dissipated; wanton: The baron is a gay old rogue with an eye for the ladies.

I seriously doubt that, any Historian that makes that statement invalidates their credentials. The life of President Lincoln has been very well documented and researched.

No clear evidence exists to support that allegation, just some anecdoctal events that can be interpreted in several ways.
Not everyone had their own bed, home three tv's and two cars in those days, people, men and women, shared their beds, food and clothing WITHOUT doing the nasty. Beleive it or not, when getting enough to eat, not freezing because your sleeping on the ground and warm clothing is on your mind, sex isn't.
But with a wife like Mary Todd, who could blame him?

So what if he was?

He still wouldn't have approved of the Supreme Court's ruling in Lawrence v. Texas.
