Because so many democrats insisted Bush did not win the FL popular vote, but was only elected by court decree, several major newspapers decided to do their own recount. What was the outcome of that count and where can I find it?

All recounts found that Bush won. Even the ones conducted by the media after the official recounts were done.

The 4 biggest counties did a manual recount but the Florida Constitution gives the Secretary of State only so many days to certify the election results. Gores attorneys wanted an entire state wide recount, the State Supreme Court did not allow it. I had read that the four biggest counties did a manual recount on their own after the fact. Knowing that the main stream media would have been howling if Gore had actually won (even during the informal recount), I can not help but to believe that Mr. Bush indeed won the state --as stands.

It was never finally concluded that Gore lost the popular vote in Florida because he didn't. The righties on the Supreme Court of the United States halted further recounts in its ruling for Bush v. Gore. A unlawful decision that these partisan judges wrote was not meant to set a precedent but to stand alone. (So no one can use it against a Repubican later, one surmises.)

The reason the vote was even in question was because Bush' brother Jeb and Bush campaign director Katharine Harris controlled the state elections and a cousin, John Ellis, was on Fox's TV team that called the race for Bush even though exit polls showed otherwise.

Around 9/11/2001, Time and Newsweek were reporting that independent recounts of the whole state had been completed and Gore won in almost every one of them.

You got to love Repugs who say the Stolen Election of 2000 is ancient history but Clinton's BJ will always be relevant. The smell of hypocrisy and Jeff Gannon's shorts always hangs over any of their talking points answers.

My God, do you Americans still think you live in a democracy. This is very saddening for me. kIf this was me i would be crying bloody murder and shouting from every rooftop that i want my country and my freedom back. But no, instead you sit back in your easy chairs wtching CNN and chirping out on the frequencies that the mass media uses.

I can now understand why people joined the Nazi party. It is a thing called propaganda and mass persuasion. PR on such a degree of genius that even normally level headed individuals are duped into repeating the bs that they hear. Your election (and the last) was stolen from you. DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. and get back your once great country before the dark clouds that are gathering above will refuse to disperse.

In Florida Al Gore replaced into loosing. So he tried to keep away from the foreign places absentee votes from being counted. the warriors votes that wouldn`t be for him. The Democrat attorneys began arriving and challenged each and every militia absentee vote against Gore. Then he tried to squeeze extra votes out of the Democrat counties run via the Democrats via counting chads of butterfly ballots that they the Democrats chosen. Counted via Democrats. Run throughout the time of the counters normally via Democrats. Then imaginary votes of people who voted for a Democrat in another area of the pollsurely could have had to vote for Gore. So the Democrats mentioned it would count as a Gore vote. no person else had a situation utilising the butterfly ballots and 12 different states used them additionally and not using a situation. I used them in Arizona. whilst that didn`t appear as if it would artwork they tried to alter the policies of the thank you to count extensive form each and everything in each and every county whilst that they were counted and approved. The ideal court docket purely mentioned you are able to`t be doing that policies changing just to attempt to get a effect you elect. The FL. ideal court docket does no longer have jurisdiction over the election. Bush gained. The DNC propaganda gadget went into kit and mentioned we've been robbed via the nasty evil Republicans. Time, CNN, the l. a. circumstances and different Liberal Papers and networks at great price went to Florida and pronounced the votes via hand, 12 circumstances. Bush gained back. Democrats have self assurance the propaganda to as we communicate that it replaced into Republicans whilst surely it replaced into the Dems themselves that attempted each and everything to cheat the win out of Florida via disenfranchising electorate and changing votes. They don`t see even now how their own familiar has been manipulated in lots the comparable way. happy you asked

Jeffery Toobin - Too Close to Call

It's out of print but your library should have it. It goes through the entire election and includes some of the newspapers' findings.

It was never really settled, Al Gore just conceded. This would have become a huge lawsuit, since they were finding other results in Ohio, and Pennsylvania too that didn't add up either.

Ancient history, but Bush won on all counts.

Thanks to Michael Moore, he was campaigning for Nader and sucked enough votes away from Gore to cost him the white house.
