Cubic refers to the process of cubing, or raising to the third degree. For example, f(x) = x^3 - 3x^2 + 4x - 6 is a cubic polynomial.

A cuboid is a solid figure bounded by six rectangular faces: a rectangular box. All angles are right angles, and opposite faces of a cuboid are equal. It is also called a right rectangular prism. The term rectangular parallelepiped can also be used. (www.wikipedia.org).
