What are they? Why are they significant?

I noticed in the last episode of 'Lost' the message, "God loves you as He loved Jacob," and want to know if there are other such messages.

With this being the third season, there are too many to mention.

Benjamin was the youngest son of Jacob. So, since they refer to Jacob's list, is the Boss Jacob and Ben the son?

In the Bible, Rachel was Jacob's wife and was barren (and old) yet God gave her children--hence Ben. On Lost, Juliet's sister, Rachel, thought she was too old and yet became pregnant.

All of Eco scenes were biblical. His Jesus stick with all the quote. The John quote to look North.

Chalie's hallucination of Claire on the beach was biblical with the baby and the dove.

Again, so numerous. It would take paragraphs to detail it all.

I know that the message "God loves you as He loved Jacob" has been in at least one other episode. I'm sure there are more but I can't think of them at the moment. You may be able to find info at www.oceanicflight815.com

I think there have been a few others. But that part was very disturbing, very Lost-ish.
I think there was others with Eko's scripture stick, I think the same message scratched in his stick, though I'm not sure.
