40gb is enough to say download 50 movies, 75000 songs, but then you have all the bits in between like downloading upgrades to existing software, basic surfing(its counted as usage to go to a new web page) voip will eat up your bandwidth, downloading pics and sending them in e-mails also. The only thing i can sensibly suggest is to try it for a month and absolutely cane it , see how far you can go and if it isn't working as you would like, then switch to an unlimited usage provider

if your just doing email and searching the web. it's plenty enough but if you get into torrents and depending on speed of connection you might run out at end of week one. does sky not show you what you have used in your account?

40gigabytes should be more than enough for you/no matter how you are addicted or hooked to the Internet you will not be able to use the whole of it
