I'm Irish American, lived in Ireland til I was 20 and am now pg with no.1. Trying to keep the Irish theme going but failing- plus I'm having a boy (Elliott Thomas). Here's some of my favourite girls names:(followed by pronounciation, and meaning)

A lot of the baby name sites have been modernised and Americanised and the names are not truly Irish (according to my Irish colleague) so look for sites that are actually Irish, or you'll end up calling them something like Caitlin (which is very pretty) but has been changed from the original name pronounced Cochleen.
