I wear it on the inner rim and along the lashline; and sometimes along the top lashline aswell but you need a VERY steady hand to do this.

Liquid eyeliner looks very dramatic but it is so hard to use. I only ever wear it when I am performing in shows because it stands out so much.
For daily use, wouldn't use liquid eyeliner, it's far to tricky!!

I definatly reccomend Loreal Paris Contour Resist! It's retractable eyeliner so it's not like an eyeliner pencil that gets blunter and blunter; which you then have to sharpe, which sometimes ruins it! Although it's not the cheapest eyeliner in the world, it's certainly not the most expensive!

Wearing it on the inner rim of the eye can make your eyes look much smaller. Usually it only looks good on ethnic faces unless you are going to a 60's party or are a goth! You are also at more risk to the draging and stretching effect and eye infections. A liquid eyeliner drawn along the the top lid at the eyelashes with a steddy hand is usually the best effect. Open the liquid eyeliner and remove excess product on the side like when you use your nail varnish. Gently stretch the eye area of the one you are going to draw the line on and close that eye. Keep the other one open. Get close to the mirror. Draw a thin line close to the lashes starting at the inside near your nose, to the end of the lashline. Add a second coat to the last third of the eye lash run draw it slightly arched like a little bump. Not too much or you will have a gap. Repeat for the other eye. Add two coats of mascara and prepare to flutter those lashes!!

I love the look of the liner on the inner rim of the eye but Ive been told that is so not good for the eye! It should be worn along the lash line as natural as possible. No line look.

From what I can gather, liquid eyeliner is not the "look" and I find it hard to apply without practise. If you haven't worn eyeliner before, I would not start with liquid. It is best to use a powder and press it into the lash line and feather out with an angled brush.

But, your look has to reflect you....play with it and see how you like the look! Go to the mall or a beauty store and have the make up gals give you a lesson! Have fun with it!

I use a liquid liner that comes in a little pot, with a little liquid sealer that you put on an eyeliner brush. It's very easy to use and very easy to wash off, especially if you make a mistake. I get it from www.makeupmania.com And the little pot of eyeliner has lasted me over a year with plenty left.

You should put on any liner from the INSIDE by your nose, and go OUT. Never the reverse. I've learned from experience that this looks much better and makes for a better line. I line the entirety of the eyelid.

Underneath, the bottom lashes, is more of a personal preference. Some people don't put any there, some only put it in the corner, or a small line from the corner and not lining the whole lashline. This is the best method for people with smaller eyes because it makes them look larger.

However, I usually line the entire bottom lashline as well with a thin amount of liquid liner, then go over it with a pencil and smudge it for the smokey eye effect.

I hope this helped a bit. :)

Good luck and just practice practice practice if you want your makeup to look good! It only looks good if you know how to apply it!

Eyeliner is tricky and takes practice to get right.

Always apply eyeliner before mascara.

Pencil eyeliner is best used outside the lashes, and I prefer to only use it on my upper lashes. If you have small eyes putting eyeliner all round the eye can make your eyes look smaller and a bit piggy.
In any case eyeliner on the lower lid should be very subtle and close to the lashes and shouldn't go all the way into the inner corner.

If the line looks a bit hard, dab a bit of eyeshadow in a similar colour over the top to blend.

Liquid eyeliner is even trickier and needs quite a steady hand. Rest your elbow on a hard surface and half close one eye. Start in the middle of the eyelid and brush gently towards the outer edge. Make sure it's quite a narrow line to begin with.
Then start in the inner corner of your eye and join up with the first line. If you're feeling confident, go over the line again making it slightly thicker over your pupil and curving in at the corners of the eye. It should resemble an upside down crescent.

I wouldn't recommend using liquid eyeliner on your lower lashes but it depends on what suits you.

The best liquid eyeliner to use is like a felt-tip pen and is much easier to use.

Buy yourself some nice new eyeliners etc and some make up wipes and have an evening of experimenting with different looks. Practice makes perfect!!

I'd love to put it on the inner rim, but if I do mye contact lenses turn black! So I have to put it on the lashline. If you have very small eyes, it might be best to put it on the lashline, to avoid making your eyes look smaller. If you have large eyes, it will look great on the inner rim. Never keep it too long, or use anyone else's eyeliner, though, or you risk an eye infection.

I've never managed to get a good result with liquid eyeliner. I was told you have to steady your hand by resting it on you cheek, and then do it one smooth sweep - but it always looks awful when I try it. I find a soft pencil much more forgiving.

The basic rule of all make up is that light gives and dark takes away. So if you have small eyes and want to make them appear bigger then use the eyeliner (black, brown or grey) on the lower eyelid under your lashes but not as far as the corner of your eye (about 3/4 is fine). Blend it in with a cotton bud or your finger a little bit - it shouldn't be a harsh line. If you want to open the eys up even more use white eyeliner on the inner rim of the eye. Keep this pencil clean with it's cap on as this is where infection can come from.

If you have very large eyes and want to make them look smaller use the eyeliner on the inner rim of the eye.

Liquid eyeliner is suitable for the top lid only as it makes a harsh black line. It's better for asian / black women as the colour goes better with their skin. I personally as a blonde very fair skinned woman find that it is far too harsh on me and makes me look like Avil Lavigne (unless you like that look!). Best just to experiment. You can get really cheap liquid eyeliners now so just have fun and see what you think suits you.

I use liquid eyeliner on my top lashline to make that sort of fifties look, but I only do it if Im going out. Its a bit much for every day. With pencil liner I use it on the inner rim on the top and bottom lid and smudge it along the bottom lashline with my finger or a cotton bud.

White eyeliner on the inner rim of your eyes to make them look bigger, black eyeliner along the lashline top and bottom. Liquid liner is to be used on the lashline, takes some practice, if you get it in your eye it runs everywhere! But once you've mastered liquid liner I think it looks tons better than pencil.

I have really noticible green eyes so i wear it on the innner and and along the lower lash line..this creates a really dramatic look very "cat like" i always get compliments..now if you dont want something so dramatic wear it just on the inner rim and use lots of mascara it bring attention to your eyes but you dont nessaceraly look like your going out to a club or something. I really LOVE covergirl perfect point plus eyeliner bc its not liquid but its not pencil it sticks really well and lasts a LONG time. as for the liquid id put it just on the top rim of your eye and if you dont have the steadiest hand then once you put it on go over it with a darker color pencil and it evens it out as well as makes it last a LOT longer...hope all that helps its what i do!!!!!!
