She is one reason society is so messed up. Idolizing this talentless woman is pathetic. Her own family saw right through her.

By all the media coverage you would think a national hero just died. The morals and values in this country are messed up if you idolize and pay so much attention to a woman who basically contributed NOTHING to society other than watching a train wreck.

You speak the truth. But I don't think it's her fault society is messed up -- it's the media who keeps shoving her the public's face who's the problem. They treat celebrities like royalty just to sell some papers or TV ad space. ANS as a person didn't do anything to help anyone but herself.

I'm sad because I could relate to this woman. I, too, know the pain of losing a child and I know the pain of being misunderstood and vilified.
I have been a long time fan and was always "cheering her on" hoping things would turn out right for her (for a change).

I think Anna's death is a horrible tragedy.
That poor woman went through so much. No one should ever have to experience the loss of a child. Then before she can even mourn him, she's drawn into a battle over the other child and being kicked out of her home. A little time goes by and she's being sued by some fat kid who tried Trimspa and didn't lose weight. Then ON THE MORNING SHE DIED Rosie O'Donnell is blasting her on the View. Enough is enough! How much was she supposed to take from Gaither Ben Thompson, Larry Birkhead, Debra Orpi, Howard K Stern, the lawyers, the media, the paparazzi, etc.before something like this happened?
I don't know what happened. Was it suicide? Was she killed by her shady lawyer? Was she addicted and accidentally overdosed, and if so, WHO was giving her the pills???
But why didn't someone HELP her??? It shouldn't have come to this.
And the real tragedy is the little baby who is basically orphaned and is going to be at the center of a long and ugly custody battle now. And all she will ever know about her mother is the garbage in the media.
I'd like to think Anna Nicole Smith was a good person who made some bad decisions. I'm just so very, very sorry that she never had a chance to turn things around.

Her own town Mexia won't even put a sign up paying respect to her death. I always hear people say "She did what she had to do," or "She had a plan and stuck with it, no matter what it was." Haa, right. So it's ok to be a whore gold digger, spread your legs to the guy with the most money and abuse drugs? I totally agree with some of the leaders in Mexia, including the HS principal who said "It's not a path I would recommend for girls to follow," or the religious leader who said "I'd rather this town be recognized for something else other than ANS." She was just an expensive drugged up home wrecking whore thats all.

I think most people are sad because drug addicts are tragic and leaving a newborn baby behind ids tragic too. Me personally, I was hoping she'd turn her life around for her baby. I don't think anyone is idolizing her, just saddened by someone who had a tragic messed up life and never knew happiness really. Not idolizing just sympathizing with a tragic life lost and a motherless baby.

Even though she was on drugs and a gold digger, she was still a human being. She had a diffucult life and she saw a chance and she grabbed it. It wasnt like she was a murder, or a bad person.
And you must care to take the time out to ask the question.

People are sad because it is a sad story. She was a troubled women who overcame a lot of adversity and managed to achieve some success. Rather than making mean spirited comments, we should be praying for the well being of her baby daughter.

I honestly think it's because she had a kinda Marilyn tragic, vulnerability about her. That's the only thing I think she had in common with Marilyn but...there it is nonetheless.

She didn't ever attempt to look fake or perfect in public view. She was real. You saw her failures...just as you saw her successes. That is refreshing with regular people, let alone with celebrities.
How many other celebrities do you know of who don't attempt to hide their stupid moments?

well for starters she let behind a small baby, I think everyone deserves a chance to know their mother no matter who they are. Then they can make their own judgement about her. And God's grace and mercy is sufficient for Anna Nicole as well as you and he could have changed her life and turned it around for good. He loves us all, even rapist and murderers and even you. So it is sad.

yes, you are true in your statements, but it is still sad when someone dies. I think the baby will be better off now though...the poor baby had drugs in her system when she was born..there is no way anna could be a good parent. she couldn't even take care of herself...look at poor daniel...still sad though. curious if it was an OD or suicide...
