I still remember High School and being in a fight a week ! God it was good, after a while it becomes a work of art ! But seriously what harm did two kids trading punches with one another ever really do ? It taught us respect ! Something Generation Y certainly don't seem to have ! TO MANY SOOKY LITTLE RUNTS RUNNING AROUND CAUSING CRAP, BEING DISRESPECTFUL TO THEIR ELDERS, FIGHTING ONLY WITH KNIFES OR IN GANGS - NEVER HAVING THE COURAGE TO STAND TOE-TOE IN A FAIR FIGHT ! It really does teach you respect and the ability to be acountable for what you say and do ! Now that im older I would have to say i've already paid my dues so I really don't need to fight anymore, the exception would be with family, when their taunted you "go to war".

If I saw a person hurting a child, I'd punch em cold. However, if I had to punch someone in situations like that It would not be out of anger but out of necessity.

If that person tried to punch me or a loved one, I'd certainly feel justified in punching that person. In fact it would be not only justified but imperative (unless I had the means handy to stop him or her attacking by another, safer method, while achieving the same ends). Now, if that person had a weapon, the evaluation process would go differently...

I take a simple view on the matter of violence and when it can be used.

So long as you do not touch myself or harm anyone around me, I will not touch you. You can yell at me, scream to the top of your lungs, say what you will, but strike me or strike another, I will intervene.
