Yes...as long as the lead twin is head down you will be able to deliver vaginally as long as you are a candidate for it. If the top twin is breech what they do is external version where by pressing on your stomach can flip the baby. If that is not successful they might change your position to see if that helps. It is not uncommon though to have one twin delivered vaginally and the other via c-section. Don't be discourage because most OBGYN's will do anything in their power to try and not have a c-section because it is major abdominal surgery. Good luck to you!

I had a breech twin. The doc thought he would turn after I delivered the first with all that extra room, but he didn't and I gave birth to him breech. HOWEVER, my 4 yr old was a footling breech and she did turn very late in the pregnancy. It's so hard to tell if they will turn or not. But a breech delivery is possible! I actually had a lot of risks to do it. My first child was a c-section so I had the risks associated with that. Then I had VBAC's with no problems. When my 4 yr old was breech the doc scheduled a c-section saying that trying to turn her would be too risky since I had a c-section in the past and he said that delivering her as a breech would be too risky.

So, I am scratching my head as to why he let me deliver my twin breech. All went well though. Good luck!

With my first baby, though it was single not twins. He was breech and they did a Version. I jumped at the opportunity because i didn't want a c-section. I didn't know how uncomfortable it actually is. A little painful since it's two people bushing their hands into your belly but it was totally worth it. Sometimes the baby goes back into the breech position but if you sit up in a chair for a while after wards there's a good chance the baby will stay head down. My son did so i got to have a vaginal delivery.
