Some say the States are the best place to live...but crime rate is almost 300% far worst than Canada...Canada is one of the highest ranked places to live in, according to the United Nations, however, child poverty and first Nations reserve still exist far greater than third world countries...

I am bias, I live in Canda, butI'd have to say between the two, Canada is easy to take the best place to live. I have relatives who now live in the states and from visiting and what they tell me I think Canada is way better! Canadians overall are very nice, polite, calm people who are violent and have a good sense of morals and family values. Although I know evrone in Canada is not perfect that in general we are a nation who is peacekeeping, not racist and humane. Also in Canada we have a way better health care system, very strong environmental concern (our cities are so much cleaner and have recycling programs that are wonderful) and we have some of the most beautiful and varied land. In Canada you can experience 2 oceans, ruff bluffs, rolling hills, escarpments, the falls, protected forests, rivers, lakes, cottage country, plains, snow capped mountains, freshwater beaches and almost anything in between. I am very proud to be Canadian and although we can always be better, I think we kick Americas butts!

I think the two nations are pratically the same in most aspects other than i think it is more at ease in Canada because your not always hearing about war and wondering if your going to get nuked while your sleeping. Only reason for this is because Canada isn't in any wars and really doesn't have to be due to the usa.

Well, I guess it all hinges on your definition of "better". Obviously Canada is not uniformly the same all over, nor is the United States. If you measure "better" by GDP or per capita income, I think the US wins hands down. If you measure it by universal health care or overall crime rate, maybe Canada is "better". What value is there in asking the question in the first place?

What's a "Canada"?

Seriously, why are you Canadians so utterly obsessed with the US and whether or not you are inferior to the US and in what ways you might be better than the US, and whether or not Americans like you? You are all like a 13-year-old girl with a crush.

Grow up and get a life, Canadians! Just because no other country on Earth expects anything from Canada, and just because Canada is not important, doesn't mean you can't be adults. Most Americans have forgotten Canada exists, and the ones who are vaguely aware of Canada never think about it.

Define"better." No country can claim to be "better" than another to live in. Everyone is going to have a prejudiced opinion of where they are from. Americans are no more arrogant than anyone else, just proud of their country. If you ask a Canadian where he's from, chances are he'll give you a rundown of his ancestry. Ask an American the same question, and he'll tell you he's an American most of the time. That speaks volumes for me.

Sorry, folks, but it's cold up there. Most Canadians live within 100 miles of the border.

Canada is better than the U.S.A. for one simple reason:

There are no Americans in Canada.
