I used to teach this subject, and the key to being really good at customer service is how well you handle things when they go wrong. If you can deal with a difficult customer, and they go away happy, then you have done a good job.

they can sum up a personality in about 5 seconds
when I was working for an airline and I watched these pro's in
action it was a mind opening experience

Customer service is treating the customer well enough that the next time they come back they come looking for you because you treated them so well the time before.

No customer service is when you have to take verbal abuse, when some adult turns into a toddler & has a tantrum because things are not going there way! Top tip it never works!

It is when you supply the service you advertise in an efficient, diligent manner with empathy. Your customers needs may actually be different to that which you offer. Point them in the right direction.
