My aunt was an RN in san fran. she said it was one of the best things she'd ever done in her life. She said it was really rewarding. I say go for it!

A CNA would be a good start, but it also might change your mind about becoming a CNA. Trust me I know because I am finishing up my final classes now and I start nursing school in the fall, plus I have worked in an ER and now I work on a med/surg floor. But anyways CNA are the ones who work in the nursing homes and have to bathe and change the old people shitty clothes...me personally I wouldnt want to do that..so that is the reason why I am going straight through. My recommendations....because a CNA and go to a hospital not a nursing home. Working in a hospital you will learn alot.

Excellent idea. The CNA would let you know if being a nurse is for you. The Health care field is the fastest growing field with all us 'baby boomers' getting old.
