See, You can give a Plaint in the Consumer forum as to breach of contract between the Consumer and the Vendor. As and when you made a payment, that created a contract between you and the NIIT Classes. Now, if you have any letter specifying as to the bifercation of fees structure, then, is there any kind of information being written as to that parti. amt. has been taken from u for such placement purpose and if that you dont need any placement then, you can put that as your evidence. Otherwise, as you are saying that they have given you many times commitment as to they will provide you the refund amt. Now, next time when you go there to take refund, do one thing..... Take someone with you like friend or any person who can stand as a witness in the consumer forum, talk with the person concerned[i.e. from whom you demand refund money], very calmly and if he gives some commitment that he would give your refund money on some next future date..... please note down the exact words what he stated and on what date. Then, repeat it, but next time again go with a different person..... Again talk calmly and do the same thing. The court believes in evidence so, as you witness will specify the reality..... Your case will be strong. If you will not get back the money back, then atleast you can bring it to the notice of consumer forum and ultimately you can stop other peoples becoming you..... Remember, Good starts in life begin with only one person and you can make a start..... for e.g. Gandhiji.[Sameer.....LL.B.(Special), Gujarat].

u should go to the consumer forum they will definately help u in this matter. one more thing what if u r not having any written proof if u r having a receipt slip mentioned Rs 10000/- as placement fee then this may be a proof against them. So u should better go to consumer forum for justice.

Unless you have a written agreement you ,cannot sue them in the court. These people are very clever.. these are just marketing techniques..
If they have ever mentioned it anywhere be it brochure or ad.. I think you have a chance. But nobody will be ready to sue, cos it wud cost almost the same amoun they lost along with energy, stress and time...If u can gather support go ahead!
if you are alone.. with enough financial, mental and (u know wat!) support go ahead but else no!
