Since the MLB ballparks are smaller than they had been during Babe Ruth's playing days, I think he would hit .364 AVG, 70 HR, 164 RBI. His stats would have been better and he would hit more home runs.

If Babe Ruth were playing today, his stats would likely be diminished compared to those he put up during his career. Despite the fact that ballparks have gotten smaller and baseballs are wound tighter, there is a much higher level of competition in the MLB today and the talent pool is much deeper following integration and the development of international scouting. Advances in conditioning and the development of the five man rotation have made pitchers stronger. In addition, the development of the slider in the 1960s completely changed the pitching landscape. As a result of all of these changes, I think Ruth would have a much tougher time today than he did in the 1920s.
I say all of this with 2 caveats:
1. Ruth obviously had tremendous natural ability as a hitter. As a result, he would likely be a very productive power hitter today.
2. Ruth is still the greatest baseball player of all time due to the fact that he was so much better than his peers when he played and the fact that he was succesful as both a pitcher and a hitter.

Yes Babe Ruth was out of shape, but if he played today, he would have a personal trainer and be very fit. My guess is that his career average would be .315. He would probable hit 520 homeruns, and drive in 1500 runs.

Due to his weight and alcohol problems, he wouldn't be playing today.
