Olive is is thin, no doubt. But I think that many people can truly be naturally skinny without being anorexic. It's hard to guess what the intent of the creators of Popeye had when creating Olive Oil. I certainly don't think they were portaying her as a "beauty", just a skinny women whom Popeye and Brutus pined for!

I agree with the one that said that Olive might have fast metabolism but she doesnt have anorexia. I have never seen any episode of of Popeye that revealed Olive having problems with eating.
