The top part of the crest (the red cross & yellow/red stripes) represents the flag of Barcelona. The bottom part of the crest (blue & red stripes) represent the team colors. The ball represents futbol and the type that was used back when it was founded. FCB is for Futbol Club Barcelona.

The red and white cross is the Cross of Saint George, or Sant Jordi in Catalan, who is the patron saint of Catalunya.
The Red and Yellow lines next to it represent the Catalan flag, and the Blaugrana at the bottom represents the colors of the Club.

The red and yellow stripes are the flag of Catalunya (Catalonia). They represent bloodstained fingers scraping down a golden shield.
