Yes - it's totally possible. Stay down as much as possible, keep your salt intake low as that will also affect your blood pressure. You have a few weeks left - you can do this for your baby.

I was diagnosed with Pre-eclampsia when I was only 27 weeks! Make sure you monitor you babys movements and you b.p. all the time. If you feel something is wrong go to the doc. I had to deliver at 36 weeks because my b.p. was soo high. Go to all your doc. appointments and relax a lot. I was on bed rest for 3 months. My sister also had this, unfortunately her placenta detached and her babys brain and organs we badly damaged, my nephew passed away 2 days after his first birthday because of complications from his birth. Make sure if you feel something is wrong that you go to the doctors. Also your baby should move all the time. the docs usually say 10-15 times a day...NO there should not be a time of more then 1 1/2 hours with no movement! Also if you get a bad pain in your side make sure u go to the doc, it could be your placenta detaching. I am not trying to scare you but people take pre-eclampsia way too lightly and it is very dangerous for you and your baby. No one knows your body and baby better then you so if you feel something is wrong go to the docs, and demand an ultrasound. Even if you are wrong about something being wrong you will still feel better. GOOD LUCK!

I had pre-eclampsia which is why i gave birth to my son via c-section when i was 35 weeks. I had high blood pressure and swelling in my hands, feet and face. I had to take blood pressure pills too. My son was born healthy and did not require any special care in the hospital and got out the same day as i did. He is now 5 years old but the only cure for pre-eclampsia is too give birth.
Good luck!

You can get at anytime in your pregnancy. I had it with my 1st pregnancy at about 24 wks and it was such a roller coaster ride.. I was in the hospital every week. I did so many 24 hour U/A. Do not stress over this, just stay off your feet and listen to your doctor. Lower your sodium intake. You will be fine and the baby will be fine. I went to the perinatalogist too. My blood pressures would be 190/100 at some points. Calm down and good luck!!

i developed pre-eclampsia in my 35th week. I went for a routine check up and was severly swollen and blood pressure was way too high. They addmited me to the hospital and 30 minutes later said they would have to induce my labor. I gave birth the next day. My daughter was very healthy and came home the same day as me. She only weighed 4lbs 8 oz. I was in icu the first 24 hours. and had to take medicine for my bp.

Do take this seriously but don't make yourself sick over it. I had my labor induced at 38 weeks and everything was fine. That last week I felt so bad and was so swollen. Keep in close contact with your obgyn.

I had it with one of my births. Make sure you drink plenty of water....water only. Helps to flush it out. Work hard at it.
