Exfoliation is when you use a mild abrasive such as a Loofer or bath brush using a gentle circular action to your legs. This helps with circulation and sheds the dead skin which can cause the pores that hold the hair folicle to become blocked. You will find that the more you use your epilator and exfoliate in between the less you will get this problem. You can also use a pair of clean tweezers to pull out the odd stubbon hair.

You must exfoliate before any type of hair removal (other than tweezing) as it reduces the risk of ingrown hairs. These can be extremely painful, especially in sensitive areas.
Exfoliate is just to apply a scrub to the skin to scruff away all the dead skin cells leaving the top layer clean and healthy. As the previous poster says, you could easily make your own with oil and salt. You can also buy an exfoliating shower gel or foam or special creams/washes. Just have a look round the bath/shower stuff in the shops next time you're there.
Also, once you have exfoliated and shaved, immediatly follow with moisturiser, preferably onto damp skin. Without this the water on your skin when it evaporates will dry your skin out and it will feel all itchy.....so moisturise, moisturise, moisturise afterwards.

Yes exfoliating keeps the skin smooth. You can buy sugar or sea salt scrubs at Origins, Aveda, Sephora(my favorite place) and Bath and Body Works. There is also a product called Tend Skin...comes in a blue bottle. It is great for ingrown hairs. Its like and astringent for razor bumps.

Exfoliate exfoliate exfoliate!
It's basically just removing the old dead skin cells from the top surface of your skin.
You can buy a scrub from Boots, and also you can get exfoliating brush. Best and only way, i tend to do it 3x a week while in the shower. Its quick and easy.

I use a loofah on wet legs before the mower comes out!
Once all done plenty of tea tree moisturer.
Best do do epilating in the evening as you have all night for the blotches to disappear.
You can use a very fine sandpaper mitt purchase from most chemists to keep your legs smooth after epilating-makes them feel like babies skin - well nearly!
Oh such baby fine hair comes through after years of shaving.....

Scrub yer bits with a loofah; it gets the dead skin and such like off and is reputed to stop ingrowing hairs. Apparently this should be done before you bathe or shower..

yes u should exfoliate. it means taking off your skin the dead skin cells. you can do it with a special sponge or rubbing your skin with what is left on the bottom of your coffee mug after drinking coffee (i don't know how it's called).
