It's all a matter of perspective. I think the U.S. has some very crazy laws. In Alabama, you cannot walk down the street with an ice cream cone in your back pocket. In Arizona, it's illegal to hunt camels. In Utah, you're not allowed to fish from the back of a horse. All ridiculous, but real laws.

In india there is a law called muslim family law. Which states that all family matters of the muslims will be dealt according to the islamic laws. Now the interesting part is that the law will become obsolete only when a muslim form of govt. is formed in India.
Strange... Isn't it?

England and countries it used to rule have some hilarious laws left on their books from hundreds of years ago.
Eg - In Ireland a Jew may not purchase a suite of armour
They're not enforced, obviously.

All I know is that if you try to put an ad in the paper describing something you're selling or something that you want, you'll find that your First Amendment right to Freedom of Speech does not even exist any longer - and no one is doing anything about it.

Instead of countries, how about societies?
Honor killings.
That is one of the most disgusting tolerances of barbaric people. Over 5,000 women worldwide are murdered every year because of this belief.

in australia, you can be convicted and send to jail for telling the truth.
(recently a law was passed banning religous vilification. a minister, telling his congregation about a certain religion, and using evidence from that religions text was brought to court and convicted and sent to jail, because the judge refused to believe the things encased within the religous text were true.)
