A car requires three things to run, Fuel, air and spark. So if you are not getting anyone of these, it will not start. When you turn the key does it crank over, if notthe problem is at your starter/solenoid. If so, you will need to determine if you are getting fuel, try turning the key to the run position from the off position, you should be able to hear a quiet hum from the rear of the vehicle lasting aproximatley 5 seconds. If you do not hear this then you have a fuel pump problem. We can assume you are getting air, unless your air filter is that bad, you could always just take it out to eliminate that margin. To test spark you will need to remove one of your spark plugs from the engine, clip it back in to the rubber boot on the wire, and place the side of threaded part against the engine (it is important this has a good ground). Have a helper turn the key and attempt to start the car, if your ground is good you will see a spark in the gab at end of plug. If no spark and you are confident of your ground, you will need to look into an ignition problem, but this is as far as I will take you for now, email me if you need somemore advice.
Best of luck!

It may be time to shoot the prism.
Does it turn over and just won't start? If it won't turn over your starter may be bad (or frozen) --give it a few raps with a hammer.
Pull one of the plugs out and make sure you are getting spark (plug it into the wire, and hold it up against the block while someone cranks it). Try spraying starter fluid into the intake while someone cranks it and see if it sputters.

There's a lot of that going around.
Gasoline doesn't like to ignite under VERY cold conditions.
You may want to buy some starting fliud and have someone spray it into the intake as you try to start the engine.

you could have a bad alternator. I think it might be some bad wireing. It shouldn't be the gas. Just take it to the repair shop they know what's best. you probaly have a bad spark plug. Unsrew the spark plugs, then turn your car, if you can see sparks, then they're fien, if you can't see them spark then get new spark plugs
