Hi Good Girl. The person who told you that writing capital is rude is correct. As Internet provides us limited functionalities it is considered as a default that anything written in capital is yelling, anything written in bold is emphasizing it, anything written in red is warning tone, anything written in green is approval tone.

Good Girl ... Yes, I agree with the person who wrote to you from the group. The most widely-accepted convention states that capitals/uppercase is used for occasional emphasis where ever it may be needed. Using all caps is what forum posters do when they're "yelling," so to speak. This is how they'd interpret all caps.
About your other habit of not capitalizing ... Take a look at ANY professional newspaper, magazine, or web site ... ANY! Except for a banner headline such as "WAR DECLARED," have you ever seen any writer or their material typeset with all caps, no caps, or without punctuation?
If you cannot appreciate what we're explaining, then how about this? Suppose you went to your favorite hometown restaurant and the menu was written in some odd variation of English. You wouldn't know what you were ordering. There is a standard way to pronounce and write English and in the interest of courtesy and accuracy, it just makes good sense to follow the standards. It's as simple as that.

Beautiful, beautiful poem, yet so true. No one should judge anyone. I did a search on that poem and although I am not sure if your paternal grandmother wrote this or not, I found it on a site, it will not let me post the link for some reason, but if you do a search on Google of the two first lines you will find it. I love to write and read poems. Thanks for sharing.

Capital letters are harder to read than lowercase letters, so you should use lowercase letters.
Since capital letters are used to indicate emphasis, many people think that "all caps" looks like shouting.

He is correct. It is considered bad net etieuette and people look upon it as shouting. Even so, it is actually harder to read in capital letters as well.

It's considered shouting. It's associated with online "rules of communication," collectively known as "netiquette."
Not everyone really pays attention to any/all of the rules, but periodically, one does hear a reference to some of the more common points, such as typing in all caps.
Good luck!
