Hi, Can anyone tell me how to make AVG scan at a later time? My AVG always starts scanning my computer at exactly 8 AM, but sometimes I stop in from completing the full scan becuz I use my computer for work and the AVG sometimes interrupts my work. Just wondering, how can I make it start scanning at a later time? What do I click on? Please specify exact steps. Since mine does it automatically daily, I don't know how to make it start scanning manually, Thanks

I figured out how to do this myself - O and I have the full version not the free one - I went ahead and bought it for 2 years since like I mentioned above I use my pc for work. Anyway, here's how I changed the time that AVG scans. First I right clicked on the AVG icon that's down below on my toolbar. Next I clicked on Launch Test Center, then I double clicked on on Scheduled Tasks, then Edit Schedule and from there you can change the time in which it starts to scan.

click on scheduler and you will be able to schedule your own time.

You're obviously running the AVG FREE version like most of us. There is no way to set the scan time to a different time of day. Mine scans a 8:00 a.m. also. I've looked into the "options" and if you try to set a different time it will tell you that scheduling in only available in the "full" version.

However, stopping the scan is not a problem because when you start it again it picks up from the point where it was stopped and simply continues that scan and does not start a new one.

FYI. I just bought a new pc with a dual-core processor. What used to take AVG an hour to do, now only takes about 20 minutes to run the full scan.

Get on your bosses butt and let 'em know you "need" a new PC. lol

Hope this helps.
