Anyone out there read Sherrilyn Kenyon's Dark-hunter books, if so what did you think of them?

I've read all of them and they are great reads. Sherrilyn has a little of everything, darkness, romance, humor. The humor is the best. I read one book by her and I ended up buying all of the Dark-Hunter series because they were so great. She's a great author who keeps you coming back for more.

I love the Dark Hunter books and Sherrilyn Kenyon is one of my favorite authors. My favorites of the series are Fantasy Lover, Night Pleasures, Night Play and Unleash the Night. I just ordered The Dream Hunter from Amazon and am really excited about reading it.

Yes, the Dark Hunter series is fabulous. Sherri has created a very complex, fascinating alternate universe where there are Apollites (bad vamps who suck your soul so they can stay alive) and the Dark Hunters who hunt them. She's created Atlantean gods, uses Greek gods and is introducing some other mythologies as the series continues. If ever there was a series that fit "nothing is as it seems" this is the one. The stories are fast-paced, the heroines feisty and the heroes property angsty. The secondary characters are funny and deserve books of their own. Throw in the Dream Hunters and Were Hunters and she's got enough to write about for years to come.

But the best, IMO, comes out this year when she tells us all about the leader of the Dark Hunters - Acheron (known as Ash) - who is everyone's favorite mysterious stranger. And his pet demon who likes to BBQ things and carries her own blend of BBQ sauce when she's not buying out QVC.

the first is not really the first in the series. It's a stand alone about Julian. He shows up in the other books, and his wife's family is a big part of them, but you don't have to read it first. It's good though. IMHO, the first ten books were good, the rest are getting boring. I love Zarek's story, Dance with the Devil, Night Pleasures (You need to read this one, it's about Kyrian and he shows up all the time in the others) and Night Embrace. I don't bother buying them anymore. They're like so yawn. BUT I still read the first ten. THEY were good, and still are. Very good.

YES!!!!!!! I love the Dark-Hunter series, it's wonderful!!! So complex and entertaining,,,,, can't wait for the next! The new Dream-Hunter series looks promising too, the first book is just as good as the Dar-Hunter series. Definitely read it if you haven't yet!

You want to know what a Dark-Hunter is? We're Mad, Bad and Immortal. We're ancient warriors with attitudes who fight rough, and play hard.
We are the scary things that go bump in the night. And we love every minute of it. So when you think you're being watched. You just might be. The question is...is it something evil or is it one of us?
