of serious concern. Please only serious answers...it involves 3 generations and many children. What does DSS actually do? I hope this is not too ambiguous a question. I didn't want to turn everyone off with a long detailed question. Thanks!

These are NOT false accusations! Sex, drugs, alcohol, 3 generations of immigrants! I am not related and have no reason to seek revenge.

Just telephone them and tell them you wish to report something. They will ask you the questions to find out what is going on.

Just be sure of what you are saying as false allegations can destroy families.

I won't provide you with any reasons. If you don't actually have some bonafide reason already to call DSS, then i'd say you were more than likely a trouble maker. Reporting people to DSS under false pretenses can get you in a heap of trouble.

How about just a short list of details. Not lengthy but a small description of what you think is wrong.

Any time you are concerned about a child's welfare, you should call DSS. I have never done it, but you seem to think there is a major problem. DSS is responsible for taking people seriously and they have to investigate every complaint. They will contact the family that you believe are having issues. Just make sure you leave a paper trail. Send them certified letters so you have proof that they received the complaint, and if anything happens to the children, at least you have proof that they had information.

if they are being abused in any way call DSS and they will have to at least investigate the situation. if nothing happens call again or have someone else call. keep calling until you see something is happening.

If you want the children, removed from a dangerous situation. you can A) tell them truth if there is a dangerous situations. or B) lie if you are just causing trouble.

Some common reasons for social services to intervene are:

parental drug possesion
violent crimes
suspected abuse (physical or sexual)
neglect
leaving children home alone
alcoholism of gaurdian

if somethings happening that shouldnt be i think its the police you need to call they will either investigate or put you through to the child protection agency, i really do not know wat will happen i called child protection agency two yrs ago and im unaware if they even called out to the family but the father involved stabbed his 13 yr old daughter on boxing day because she started her period, his son was forever going around with his face mashed and his teeth were knocked out (he is 11), the father was kept in the cells overnight he is now back home with his kids, but its ok because he has bought them a puppy (he has 5 kids and they all know wat his belt feels like) he hung their last puppy and he dont care who sees what he does i tried to get his oldest daughter to stay at my house on pretence of babysitting he came over and said if i wanted my house burnt down i was going right way about it, so if your going to complain and things are definitely bad there rally up a petition so a few of you are complaining not just you

Are you sure your not wanting to call out of revenge? If not you should already know the reasons to call DSS yourself.
