Think maybe it is not installed properly. I have IE7 it has a home button, a page with drop down arrow, tools with drop down arrow, a left and right arrow, a search, a favorites and more.

Perhaps uninstall it or go to windows update and reinstall.

Hope you can get it sorted.

IE7 is a great product. I really love the "clear text" display. I'm sure there are a few problems, particularly if you deinstall it and then reinstall it. No Windows program likes it if you do that.

Mozilla Firefox has just as many problems as IE. There are many pages that display incorrectly in Firefox, there are pages that open in tabs when they are supposed to open in a new window (making it unusable for the site I frequent) and it doesn't have the clear text feature.

Un-install IE7 from your Add and Remove Programs list. Then go to the Microsoft site and download it again. Seems like you got a bad download.

After downloading it use the Menu Bar Tweak to put your File>Edit>.......buttons back on top.

IE7 Menu-on-Top Tweak is a simple registry tweak that puts the menu bar back on top, where it is normally found in Windows applications The zip file includes the .reg file to install the tweak, as well as .reg file to uninstall. Works well.

You can download the tweak from http://www.snapfiles.com/get/ie7menutoptweak.html

You only need to do a search on here to see how many people are having problems with IE7. The best thing to do is download Mozilla Firefox available from http://www.mozilla.com/ Its faster, more user friendly, easily customisable to suit your needs and no problems.

Remove it completely and use Mozilla Firefox or Opera. I'll guarantee you neever have any problems, they're small and simple to use and look much better. Plus they have proper security features which IE lacks. You'll thank me later.

The menu is off by default. Press the ALT key and it will appear. You can then go through the options and turn the toolbars back on.

IE7 is poo. Mine keeps crashing (at least 3/4 times a day) when I open new tabs.....
